We stayed at Hotel
Prince in the Sultan Ahmed area in Istanbul. That put us in the
middle of everywhere, and at a walking distance to most of what we
wanted to see. The hotel charged less than similar hotels nearby, but
was not excactly cheap.
I soon became a frequent user of the hotel's
top terrace. There I drank my
coffe, smoked my sigarettes, read, drank
beer - and took a lot of pictures.
Some of the photos clearly shows the opalescense wich often
occurs in a city as old as Istanbul. Byzants
seems to have been founded app. 600 years before the common era.
Most photos was shot while thin fog was hanging in the air.
And before the sun had risen properly.
